A letter of thanks.

Madeline,

How are you doing? I just wanted to check in with you and let you know that I am still doing well and I am now down to 268 lbs. I am still eating right and getting plenty of exercise. My wife and I walk every day between 5 to 8 miles depending on the time and weather of course. I also walk with my co-workers during lunch for a total of 2 miles every day as long as the weather permits. I am still excited and being the best me that I can be. I started my journey in February 2016 weighing 308.4. I never thought in a million years that I would ever be under 300 lbs again. I have set a short term goal for myself by the end of August 2016, I want to be under 250 lbs. If I reach my goal, I am going to reward myself by going ziplining.

My family reunion is also the weekend of August 19 to 21, 2016. I started losing weight when I entered into a contest with two (2) of my cousins to see who could lost the most weight by August 2016. So many of my family members and friends were encouraged with our weight lost and dedication now they have also joined in the journey.

I have also enclosed a book that my co-worker put together regarding our walking group at work. I started off walking alone and now it has grown to between 8 to 10 people just about every day. The book is funny and I think you will get a good laugh out of it. The picture at the end of the book is my wife and I, it was taken on father’s day.

I also wanted to thank you for the wonderful class and let you know that I am still using my book to make good food choices.
